  • Keith J. Gloeckl

    Chief Executive Officer

    Mr. Gloeckl began his career in the insurance industry with American General of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 1974, Mr. Gloeckl formed Burne & Gloeckl Insurance Agency and grew the firm into a successful enterprise, which he sold in 1984. At that time, Mr. Gloeckl accepted a position as a Commercial Mortgage Banker with Midland Mortgage Investment Corporation, a company that originated multifamily construction loans throughout the United States. During the 1980’s the company grew significantly. In 1988, Mr. Gloeckl and two associates purchased the company and created a group of companies that became known as The Midland Companies. The companies specialized in construction, permanent and equity financing for conventional and affordable multifamily apartment complexes nationwide with an emphasis on tax credit properties.

    During this time, Mr. Gloeckl served as President and Chief Operating Officer of the organization, which grew to over 150 employees in 7 offices across the country. In addition to Midland´s long standing relationships with large municipal pension funds, Midland became a Fannie Mae DUS Lender and FHA/MAP underwriter which broadened the investment base options for its clients. Mr. Gloeckl has worked with a number of corporate investors throughout his tenure.

    In 1999, Mr. Gloeckl and his associates sold The Midland Companies to MuniMae (NYSE:MMA), and the company became known later as MMA Financial. Mr. Gloeckl continued to serve the company and its clients as Chief Investment Officer and a member of Senior Management Committee. During his tenure with MMA, Mr. Gloeckl was responsible for a range of functions across all debt and equity product types for all real estate finance business, as well as the supervision of Production, Underwriting, Closing, Secondary Markets, Tax Credit Origination, and various product development and management initiatives. Mr. Gloeckl also served as Trustee of the MMA Affordable Housing Group Trust and the MMA Multifamily REIT where he worked with various pension fund groups and proprietary funds.

    Since 1992, Mr. Gloeckl has been instrumental in the syndication of more than $1 billion of federal low income housing tax credits.

    Mr. Gloeckl is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association of America and the National Multifamily Housing Council. Mr. Gloeckl has served as an officer for organizations such as Council for Affordable and Rural Housing, the Florida Council for Affordable and Rural Housing and is a member of various industry organizations. Mr. Gloeckl is a graduate of Walsh University and has served on its Board of Directors.

  • Devin Sanderson

    Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President

    Mr. Sanderson brings a wealth of experience providing financing solutions in both the debt and equity capital markets, including project identification, evaluation, financial modeling and structuring of tax advantaged transactions as well as managing the performance of staff and funds to maximize investor benefits and company profitability.

    Mr. Sanderson serves as Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President at CSG.  As a thought leader in the company, his responsibilities include spearheading new product development initiatives for all available capital sources in the renewable energy, investment tax credit, and corporate financing space.  Mr. Sanderson provides the management, leadership and vision necessary to ensure that the company has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency.

    In addition to his corporate duties at CSG, Mr. Sanderson leads the Renewable Energy Finance Group and is responsible for the development and financing of over $250 million in solar assets throughout the United States.  His responsibilities include identifying market trends, strategic investment, and tax credit equity for renewable energy projects through a broad range of financing sources including banks, insurance companies, and non-financial sector investors.

    Previously, Mr. Sanderson worked at Churchill Financial and served as Vice President responsible for the origination, analysis, negotiation and placement of Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) and renewable energy debt and equity finance investments.  He managed many of the day-to-day operations, including overseeing the servicing and asset management of a $100M+ project portfolio, planning and development for Marketing, Finance & Accounting and Technology departments.

    Mr. Sanderson graduated from the University of South Florida, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and was awarded three varsity letters in football.

     

  • Jerome Sullivan, CFA, CPA

    Chief Financial Officer

    Mr. Sullivan is Chief Financial Officer for Churchill Stateside Group and leads the company’s Chicago office. Mr. Sullivan is focused on originating debt and equity opportunities as well as product development. He has extensive experience originating and underwriting debt for Fannie Mae and FHA-HUD, as well as LIHTC equity.

    Prior to joining CSG, Mr. Sullivan served as senior vice president at Great Lakes Capital Fund, a non-profit community development financial institution where he managed their lending business and Illinois and Wisconsin operations. Prior to joining Great Lakes Capital Fund, Mr. Sullivan served as vice president for the mortgage operations of the Enterprise Social Investment Corporation where he established an office in Chicago and oversaw Midwest operations. Prior to joining Enterprise, he served for ten years with a $15 billion private pension fund where he managed community development and investment activities. Mr. Sullivan finished his tenure at the pension fund as manager of alternative investments.

    Mr. Sullivan graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree and a second major in Economics from the University of Illinois. Mr. Sullivan is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Certified Public Accountant. He has been a frequent speaker at affordable housing conferences throughout the Midwest.

  • Rex Tilley

    Senior Vice President, Chief Underwriter

    Mr. Tilley is responsible for all transaction risk assessments for CSG. Rex has more than 27 years of commercial real estate underwriting and valuation experience with the last 15 years focused on multifamily affordable housing.

    Prior to joining CSG, he was employed by AmeriNational Community Services as Director of Multifamily Services and by Oak Grove Capital as a Deputy Chief Underwriter. Prior to these positions, Mr. Tilley was employed for more than ten years by MMA Financial/The Midland Companies. During his tenure with MMA Financial/The Midland Companies, Mr. Tilley held the title of Fannie Mae Chief Underwriter and was in charge of staff ranging from 7 to 25 professionals responsible for underwriting, closing and servicing multifamily debt and equity investments. Prior to MMA Financial/The Midland Companies, Rex was employed by AmSouth Bank and Glendale Federal Bank in their real estate valuation departments.

    Mr. Tilley holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Florida State University and is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in the State of Florida.

  • Anna Parks

    Deputy Chief Underwriter

    Anna Parks is the Deputy Chief Underwriter for Churchill Stateside Group, responsible for identifying risk in affordable and market rate multifamily housing debt and equity transactions throughout the United States.  Ms. Parks is also responsible for underwriting renewable energy debt transactions for the Renewable Energy Finance Group.  Ms. Parks has 30 years of commercial real estate experience including loan servicing, asset management and underwriting and closing multifamily debt and equity transactions totaling approximately $730M, with experience in underwriting secondary market purchases, tax-exempt bonds, taxable loans and affordable loans in the Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and USDA-RD 538 programs. Ms. Parks has also underwritten almost $50M of solar energy debt transactions.

    Prior to joining Churchill Stateside Group, Ms. Parks was employed for 25 years by MMA Financial in various positions within the loan servicing, asset management and underwriting departments, with the last 18 years focused on underwriting and closing multifamily affordable debt transactions.

    Ms. Parks graduated Cum Laude from the University of Baltimore with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance.

  • Joseph Dedek

    Senior Vice President, Tax Credit Fund Manager

    Mr. Dedek is a Senior Vice President at CSG and serves as Tax Credit Fund Manager leading the fund management function, responsible for assembling, evaluating, structuring and monitoring Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), Historic Tax Credit (HTC) and Renewable Energy Investment Tax Credit (ITC) investment portfolios. Additional responsibilities include the coordination of tax reporting, quarterly and annual investor reporting, annual fund audits and tax returns. Mr. Dedek has over 15 years of experience managing investments in multifamily and commercial real estate portfolios.

    Prior to CSG, Mr. Dedek was the divisional chief financial officer with the Credit Suisse Tax Credit Group (CS) responsible for the general financial management and the oversight of the family of CS tax credit funds in excess of $850 million of invested equity. Before joining CS, Mr. Dedek spent seven years with the affordable housing and mezzanine debt and equity divisions of KeyBank Real Estate Capital Private Equity Group as its chief financial officer managing invested equity in excess of $1.3 billion. Mr. Dedek began his career at KPMG departing as a Manager in the audit practice.

    Mr. Dedek holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in accounting from John Carroll University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

  • Michelle Volpe

    Senior Vice President, FHA Chief Underwriter

    Michelle Volpe is the FHA Chief Underwriter with over 30 years experience in real estate. She is responsible for the complete oversight and quality control of all FHA underwriting functions. Ms. Volpe manages the development, training and work product of the entire FHA underwriting staff. Michelle has over 20 years experience in the FHA industry and has personally been involved in underwriting over $575 Million in closed transactions. Ms. Volpe has extensive experience in underwriting market rate and affordable multifamily properties along with LEAN transactions. She has also underwritten Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in her underwriting career. Prior to joining Churchill Stateside Group, Ms. Volpe was employed as an FHA Chief Underwriter for HUD Approved Lenders. Ms. Volpe graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance.

  • Philip Peppert

    Vice President, Human Resources

    Mr. Peppert, Vice President, Human Resources for Churchill Stateside Group, is based in the Clearwater, FL. Mr. Peppert is responsible for all operational Human Resources requirements, as well as assessing and establishing policies and procedures to guarantee the company is compliant and incorporating the latest developments and trends. As CSG’s Chief Human Resource Officer, Phil is working to accelerate the company’s transformation through leadership, attracting and developing the best talent and building a culture of engagement and innovation.

    Mr. Peppert is a military veteran with 17 years of service in the British Royal Air Force. During his tenure, he was trained as a Human Resources specialist, was involved in global operations and held high profile positions, including NATO Command in Central Europe and the British Embassy in Washington DC.

    After retiring from the British Royal Air Force in 2008, Mr. Peppert transitioned to an administrative position with the Perioperative Department of Georgetown University Hospital. In 2015 he accepted a Human Resources position with Capital Novus, a global eDiscovery software company based in Fairfax, VA.

    Prior to accepting enlisting in the British Royal Air Force, Mr. Peppert attended Teesside University in the United Kingdom, studying a course in International Business Information Technology.

     

  • Robert M. (Bob) Stout, CRI

    National Director of Originations and Acquisitions

    Bob has been involved in the real estate industry since 1978 and currently serves as Churchill Stateside Group’s (CSG) National Director of Originations and Acquisitions providing leadership and support to the company’s debt and equity origination platform.  He also continues to serve as President and CEO of Q10 Capital LLC a post he has held since 2007. Q10 is an affiliation of 11 independently owned commercial and multifamily mortgage bankers originating in excess of $4 billion annually and servicing a collective portfolio of approximately $10.5 billion. CSG has been a Q10 partner since 2006.

    Early in his career, Stout gained expertise in commercial real estate development, leasing, finance and management with a number of the country’s most respected development firms. During this time he was involved in the development, leasing, finance and management of over 2 million square feet of office and industrial developments. In 1992 he entered the commercial and multifamily loan servicing technology arena serving as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Synergy Software, LLC and its successor Ocwen Financial (NYSE: OCN). In 2002 Bob joined McCracken Financial Software (then a subsidiary of GMAC Commercial Holdings) as Senior Vice President of U.S. Operations and later served as Interim President leading the company through a substantial restructuring and sale in 2007 for then parent company Capmark Financial. During this period, Stout managed client relations with many of the largest Fannie Mae DUS and Freddie Mac Program Plus lenders as well as a variety of HUD/FHA shops. The McCracken platform provided loan servicing and asset management functions for approximately $1 trillion of multifamily and commercial mortgage debt.

    Bob has served on numerous industry boards most recently serving on the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) Board of Directors (2011-2016) and as Chairman of the MBA’s Commercial Multifamily Board of Governors (COMBOG) during the 2015/16 fiscal year. He is a founding member and former President of the Chartered Realty Investor® Society having been awarded the CRI® charter in 2005.  Bob has written numerous articles on commercial real estate topics for a variety of real estate publications and was one of the original contributing authors of the Handbook of Commercial Real Estate Finance published by the MBA in 1995 and revised in 2005.

  • Daniel Duda

    Vice President, National Associate Director of Originations and Acquisitions

    Dan Duda is Vice President, National Associate Director of Originations and Acquisitions for CSG in the Clearwater office. Dan is responsible for debt and equity origination for both affordable and market rate properties in the East region.  Dan previously served CSG as an Underwriter and was responsible for identifying risk in debt and equity real estate transactions throughout the United States.

    Prior to joining CSG in 2013, Mr. Duda served as a Financial Analyst at Investors Bank in New York City. He focused primarily on originating and underwriting multifamily, mixed-use, retail, and industrial loans in the Northeast. Throughout his career, Dan has been responsible for originating and underwriting loans totaling more than $400M.

    He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from East Carolina University. Mr. Duda sits on the Board of the Council for Affordable and Rural Housing (CARH) and is a frequent speaker at many industry events across the country.

  • Michael Spain

    Vice President, East Regional Officer

    Michael Spain is Vice President, East Regional Production Officer for Churchill Stateside Group.  Mr. Spain is responsible for originating debt and equity solutions for new construction, rehabilitation, acquisition and refinancing of both affordable housing and market rate properties within the eastern region of the United States.

    Prior to joining CSG, Michael was an associate attorney for Hamilton, Miller & Birthisel, LLP where he primarily focused on defending maritime and transportation claims. He also practiced in the areas of insurance defense, insurance coverage, property and casualty, workers compensation and wrongful death and personal injury defense.

    Michael obtained his Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law; earning the book award in Trusts & Estates Drafting. During law school, Michael was a member of the Mock Trial team and a legislator for the Student Bar Association. As an advocate, he placed runner-up at the Carolinas Mock Trial Tournament and was a finalist in the Spohrer & Dodd Closing Arguments Competition.

    Prior to law school, Michael worked as an assistant project manager and quality inspector for a residential construction company based in Amelia Island, Florida.  He was in charge of preparing contracts and estimates and reviewing construction and building plans to ensure compliance with current building codes, local ordinances and zoning regulations.  In his spare time, Michael is an avid golfer and stays involved in his community.

     

     

  • William E. Rahuba

    Vice President, South West Regional Officer

    William E. Rahuba joined Churchill Stateside Group as the Vice President, South West Regional Officer. William is based out of Austin, Texas and is responsible for originating debt and equity solutions for new construction, rehabilitation, acquisition and refinancing of both affordable housing and market rate properties within the South West Region of the United States.

    Prior to joining CSG in 2018, William was employed at National Equity Fund as an Originations Officer and responsible for the origination, financial underwriting and up-front feasibility review of LIHTC transactions in the South East Region.

    Preceding William’s entry into the Affordable Housing Industry with NEF, he was a Derivatives Trader engaging in transactions with Futures and Options across a number of asset classes on exchanges in Chicago and London.

    William received a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Loyola University Chicago, previously qualified for and held the General Securities Representative Examination “Series 7” License and currently holds an Illinois Real Estate Brokers License.

  • Alex Holverson, MSRE

    Vice President, Production

    Alex Holverson is the Vice President, Production at Churchill Stateside Group and is responsible for managing the production pipeline prior to underwriting, and working with the production officers to determine the best product/execution for new acquisitions and originations.  Alex and his team analyze debt and equity opportunities, report deals in process, composing offer packages, and preparing deals for the underwriting process.  Alex is also the liaison for CSG’s warehouse sources, managing the terms and conditions of various debt and equity products.

    Prior to joining CSG, Mr. Holverson was a commercial property claims adjuster for a nationally recognized insurance company.  Mr. Holverson received his Master’s in Real Estate from the University of South Florida, and a BS in Finance with an emphasis on Real Estate from the University of Missouri.

  • Lois Pemberton

    Vice President, Transaction Coordinator

    Mrs. Pemberton is a Vice President at CSG and provides support to the team through the effective organization of various due diligence requirements and the processing of loans through HUD, USDA Section 538 and other lending sources.

    Lois brings to the team more than 20 years of commercial real estate finance and banking experience and has previously held positions in Credit, Underwriting and Commercial Banking. After roles in commercial banking, she joined the Midland Companies where she held various positions in underwriting and loan delivery management. As Vice President at Midland, she was instrumental in the implementation of the loan delivery processes to Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and other secondary market sources. Throughout her career, Lois has been responsible for the successful packaging and delivery of loans totaling $2.3 billion.

    Lois has extensive experience as a liaison between lenders, borrowers, legal counsels, title agents, and various parties to ensure the successful funding for many types of transactions.

  • Amr Fawzi

    Senior Vice President, Loan Servicing and Asset Management

    Mr. Fawzi joined CSG as Senior Vice President, Loan Servicing and Asset Management. Mr. Fawzi is responsible for overseeing the servicing and asset management functions, inclusive of the operational and compliance functions for the CSG portfolio. Mr. Fawzi has more than 25 years of combined commercial and residential real estate experience, with the last 16 years within Fannie Mae’s Multifamily Debt and Equity Asset Management, performing portfolio surveillance on both market rate and multifamily affordable housing transactions. Mr. Fawzi also has renewable energy experience, setting up Fannie Mae’s Green Program Asset Management, which included Solar installations as well as energy and water efficiency property improvements. The remainder of Mr. Fawzi’s real estate experience was in commercial banks and mortgage entities. Mr. Fawzi also has more than 7 years’ experience in equity fund management and a broad range of capital markets activities at Lazard and EFG-Hermes.

    Mr. Fawzi is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association of America, where he is a member of the Property Inspection Review Task Force and Servicer Council, the Commercial Real Estate Finance Council, where he is a member of the Investor Reporting Committee and the National Multifamily Housing Council.

    Mr. Fawzi holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and a second major in International Business from the American University, Washington DC and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Maastricht School of Management in the Netherlands.

  • Charles Kane

    Vice President, Asset Management

    Mr. Kane is the Vice President of Asset Management and is responsible for monitoring all of the operational and compliance aspects of the portfolio. Mr. Kane has over 10 years of asset management experience.  His focus has been on the managing of large portfolios as well as audit and distribution related analyses.

    Previously, Mr. Kane served with Raymond James Tax Credit Funds (RJTCF). While at RJTCF, he created a tracking and collection system for project distributions and fees for over 1,000 partnerships. Earlier in his career, Mr. Kane was employed by Midwest Housing Equity Group (MHEG) where his work included portfolio management and special assets.

    Mr. Kane holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with emphasis in Management and a minor in Organizational Communication from Bellevue University.  Mr. Kane also holds the HCCP designation.

  • Linda Carroll

    Vice President, Loan Servicing

    Ms. Carroll serves as CSG’s Vice President, Loan Servicing and brings more than 25 years of mortgage banking experience to the team. She began her career with MMA Financial/The Midland Companies as a Loan Closing Coordinator. Ms. Carroll was responsible for processing monthly construction draws, preparing loan documents for investors and coordinating wire transfers.

    During her 20 year tenure with MMA/Midland, Ms. Carroll served as Vice President of the Loan Administration Department and as Vice President/Closing Support Manager. As part of her responsibilities, she developed and implemented loan closing policies, procedures and processing manuals, and met daily deadlines for processing millions of dollars in construction loans and tax credit equity installments.

  • Jackie Friend

    Vice President, Loan Servicing

    Ms. Friend serves as CSG’s Vice President, Loan Servicing and is a seasoned, results-oriented professional who brings more than 30 years of commercial real estate finance and banking experience to the team.  She has previously held positions as a real estate paralegal and served as Vice President of Construction and Permanent Loan Servicing with MMA Financial. As Vice President at MMA, she was responsible for successfully managing a team whose portfolio was comprised of over 900+ loans valued at over $5 billion.   She has experience in multi-family tax-exempt and credit-enhanced Bond loan servicing, taxable construction and permanent loan servicing, commercial and residential loan closings and Low Income Housing Tax Credit asset management.

     

  • Beth Bastas

    Loan Servicing Analyst

    Ms. Bastas serves as CSG’s Loan Servicing Analyst, and brings more than 29 years of mortgage banking experience to the team.  Beth is primarily responsible for the processing and servicing of CSG’s permanent loan portfolio, along with assisting in the maintenance of the construction loan portfolio.  She began her career in the mortgage banking industry in downtown Philadelphia, and has since successfully managed up to $1 billion of CRE loans at any given time throughout the years in Pennsylvania, and then for the past 19 years in Florida.  Ms. Bastas has extensive experience in servicing both performing and distressed properties.

    Ms. Bastas graduated from Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ, and received a Bachelor’s of Science degree Magna Cum Laude in International Business.  She is also a licensed Mortgage Loan Originator in the State of Florida.

  • Regina Dvorak

    Loan Servicing Analyst

    Regina Dvorak serves as a Loan Servicing Analyst at CSG. Regina brings extensive accounting expertise with her past experience in the Architecture/Engineering/Construction industries. Regina received both a Masters degree in Accounting and a MBA from the University of South Florida.

     

  • Edward “Skip” Santos

    FHA Underwriter

    Skip Santos is an FHA Underwriter and will focus on underwriting Multifamily loans to be processed through the HUD MAP Program.

    Mr. Santos began his banking career at Hibernia National Bank in 1989 in Credit Analysis where he received formal credit training.   As a commercial lender he specialized in Mortgage Warehouse and Commercial Real Estate.  During 2000, Mr. Santos became the bank’s chief originator for a partnership between Hibernia National Bank and Standard Mortgage of New Orleans focusing on the origination of multifamily loans to be placed in the permanent market through FNMA and conduits.

    Since 2001, Mr. Santos has concentrated on multifamily loan requests processed through the HUD MAP Program with responsibilities including origination, underwriting, and issuance of GNMA securities.    His experience in multifamily lending include:  Historic Tax Credits, LIHTC, affordable, market rate, and healthcare properties.

    Mr. Santos received his B.S in Accounting from Louisiana Tech University and an M.B.A from Loyola University.

  • Molly McGill

    FHA Underwriter

    Molly McGill is an FHA Underwriter at Churchill Mortgage Investment.  She is responsible for underwriting loans that utilize HUD’s MAP program, many of which include Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) equity, either 9% credits or 4% credits with tax-exempt bond financing.  Molly previously spent 5½ years at CBRE Capital Markets as an underwriting analyst and then underwriter, where she worked on market-rate and affordable FHA projects totaling more than $750 million.  Molly has experience underwriting Section 221(d)(4) new construction and substantial rehabilitation projects, as well as Section 223(f) refinances.

     

    Molly received J.D. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and a B.A. degree from Trinity University in San Antonio, TX.

  • Victoria Jones

    Underwriter

    As an Underwriter, Victoria is responsible for the risk analysis of potential debt and equity investments with finance structures utilizing tax credits and various government and conventional loan programs.

    She brings over 25 years of commercial real estate experience, with an emphasis on feasibility analysis, multi-family development and project finance. Prior to joining Churchill Stateside Group, Victoria was an executive at Meta Housing Corporation, an affordable housing developer based in Southern California. While there, she financed and coordinated the development of over 400 senior housing units utilizing allocations of low-income housing tax credits, tax-exempt bonds, and conventional financing. Earlier in her career she was in charge of acquisitions and finance for a commercial real estate developer and a financial analyst for a national real estate syndicator.

    Victoria attended Pepperdine University and Mount St. Mary’s University in Los Angeles, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business.

  • Janel Salinas

    Underwriter

    Janel Salinas joined Churchill Stateside Group as an Underwriter responsible for identifying risk in both affordable and market rate multifamily housing debt and equity transactions throughout the United States. Ms. Salinas has experience in Real Estate Development, CRE Loan Closing and Asset Management with the emphasis in affordable housing including LIHTC, USDA-RD 538 and 515 programs, tax-exempt bonds, and VA transactions.

    Prior to joining Churchill Stateside Group, Janel leveraged her education from Temple University and background as a paralegal to become an influential affordable housing Developer at Shelter Resources Inc. in Western Washington.  While there, she coordinated financing; managed the involvement of nonprofit partners; wrote financing applications; and, supervised the development of new construction and rehabilitation projects including senior housing, workforce housing, and veterans housing units from concept to stabilization.  These projects utilized allocations of low-income housing tax credits, tax-exempt bonds, HOME funds, Housing Trust Funds, USDA RD and conventional financing.  Ms. Salinas also complements the team with extensive knowledge of the USDA RD 515 Transfer Application process.

  • Sean Smith

    Underwriter

    Sean Smith is an Underwriter for Churchill Stateside Group and is responsible for the risk analysis of potential debt and equity investments with finance structures utilizing tax credits and various government and conventional loan programs. Mr. Smith holds a Florida State Certified-General Appraisal license with a background in commercial real estate valuations and market feasibility analysis.

    Prior to joining Churchill Stateside Group, Mr. Smith was employed with Value Tech Realty Services as a staff appraiser and market analyst. He specialized in HUD MAP feasibility studies and valuations for both affordable and market-rate apartments. In addition, Mr. Smith consulted for multifamily developers and advised regarding due diligence, development trends, and site selection.

    Mr. Smith graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. Prior to returning to school and completing his degree, he served seven years in the U.S. Army.

  • Deanna deGoma

    Underwriting Analyst

    Deanna deGoma joined Churchill Stateside Group as an Underwriting Analyst in the FHA Underwriting Division.   She is responsible for various underwriting tasks focusing on mortgage credit analysis and HUD due diligence requirements. Ms. deGoma has over 9 years of FHA underwriting and analyst experience and has closed in excess of $300 million in HUD transactions, including market rate, affordable and healthcare deals.

    Ms. deGoma began her career at Fannie Mae in 2002 where she worked in the Communications Department and Foreclosed REO division. Since then, she concentrated her career in FHA underwriting of multifamily market rate and affordable projects. Prior to joining Churchill Mortgage, Ms. deGoma held various positions in FHA underwriting at commercial real estate finance companies including PNC Bank and CB Richard Ellis.

  • Christina Thornton

    Assistant Vice President

    Mrs. Thornton is an Assistant Vice President at CSG and supports the underwriting team through the organization of various due diligence and the processing of transactions through HUD, USDA Section 538 and other lending sources.

    Chris brings more than 25 years of administrative and loan processing expertise from positions in the institutional and private investment management and commercial real estate finance industries. While with The Midland Companies, she held various positions in underwriting and focused on the loan delivery processes to Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and other secondary market sources. During that time, Chris participated on a team that managed the packaging and delivery of loans totaling $2.3 billion. Chris’ prior employers also include AEGON USA, Inc., MetLife and Ameriprise Financial.

  • Lana Demchak

    Loan Processor

    Lana is the Loan Processor at Churchill Stateside Group supporting the underwriting team through the FHA multifamily housing debt under the HUD, MAP, and LEAN programs. She is responsible for the due diligence of borrower communications, governmental transaction processing, final loan document reviewing and loan package preparations submitted to HUD.

    Prior to joining CSG, Lana worked as a Loan Processor and Audit Specialist, for Citibank. There she was responsible for processing conventional mortgage refinance and purchase transactions for a period of six years.  She has assisted in over 1,000 successful loan closings of both refinancing and purchasing applications by working as an advocate and main point of contact.  Later, Lana moved to a special projects team where her accountability included; auditing files of loan processors for quality assurance, along with monitoring regulations in accordance with company, lender, and federal guidelines.

    Mrs. Demchak holds a Bachelor of Science degree in English and history from Eastern Michigan University, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in community economic development from the University of Southern New Hampshire.

  • Lacey Steele

    Loan Processor

    Ms. Steele is a Loan Processor at CSG. She provides support with the closing of debt and equity transactions involving tax credit investments and multi-family affordable housing.
    She is responsible for the due diligence, borrower communications, committee presentations and processing governmental applications through USDA Section 538 and other lending sources.

    Ms. Steele joined Churchill Stateside Group as an Investment Assistant and quickly proved her value. Her skills allow her to provide dependable support to senior level managers to meet
    required transaction deadlines.

  • Cindy West

    Associate Loan Processor

    Cindy West joined the Underwriting Department of Churchill Stateside Group as an Associate Loan Processor responsible for processing and closing USDA 538 transactions.  She provides support to the underwriting team while her primary responsibilities include borrower communication, collection of due diligence, and the processing and submission of Loan Applications to USDA.   Ms. West has over 17 years of experience in the Real Estate Finance and Banking industries including 12 years combined as a Commercial Insurance Coordinator and Permanent Loan Specialist.

    Ms. West began her career at Mellon Bank in Pittsburgh and joined The Midland Companies shortly after graduating from Robert Morris University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance.   She continued her professional career at other financial institutions before joining Churchill.

     

  • Jared Lucero

    Production Analyst

    Jared Lucero joined the Production team at Churchill Stateside Group as Production Analyst. Jared assists in reviewing incoming request for proposals to determine the best debt and equity options based upon the financial feasibility of new projects, compiles offer packages, and collaborates with the production officers on lead generation and relationship management. Before joining CSG, Jared was a Registered Representative with Morgan Stanley, where he placed unsolicited stock, bond and options trades, guided clients through the onboarding process of opening new accounts and navigating through the online platform, and conducted outreach to maintain relationships with client base.

    Mr. Lucero obtained a Bachelor of Science from Florida Gulf Coast University with a major in Finance and minor in Economics. Jared has previously qualified for and held the FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 licenses.

  • Benjamin Pemberton

    Associate Underwriter

    Benjamin Pemberton joined Churchill Stateside Group as an Associate Underwriter. Mr. Pemberton is responsible for preparing and maintaining underwriting models, as well as assisting with risk analysis of potential debt and equity investments with finance structures utilizing tax credits and various government and conventional loan programs.

    Mr. Pemberton graduated from the University of South Florida St. Petersburg with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Economics and Finance.

  • Rachel Gaylord, CPA

    Controller

    Rachel joined Churchill Stateside as the Controller.  Her responsibilities include managing the financial affairs of the company and supporting the CFO in the audit processes.

    Rachel worked at a public accounting firm in the areas of accounting, tax, and business consulting.

    Rachel graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant.

  • Dana Carl

    Staff Accountant

    Mrs. Carl joined CSG as a Staff Accountant with an array of Accounting experience.  She graduated with honors in 2017 from Southeastern Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.  She worked with the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, a native Indian tribe, focusing government contracting.

    Dana handles the Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables and multiple tasks within the Accounting Department. Dana is hoping to complete her fifth year of Accounting in pursuit of her CPA License.

  • Sheila Siretz

    Staff Accountant

    Ms. Siretz comes to CSG as one of our Staff Accountants with more than 25 years of experience in Accounting. Sheila handles the Accounts Payable as well as other day to day functions within the Accounting Department. Her organizational skills and knowledge of accounting procedures is an integral part to keeping our Accounting office running smoothly and efficiently as we continue to expand.

  • Liz Broesler

    Administrative Assistant

    Ms. Broesler joined CSG as the administrative assistant to the CEO and maintained the Office Service functions.  Liz is primarily responsible for travel arrangements, the conference calendars, conference registrations, trade booths, marketing and hotel requirements for the Production Staff and other company associates.  Liz maintains the office services functions and provides administrative support to several departments.

    Ms. Broesler previous platforms include the Financial, Human Resources, Marketing, Aviation and Architectural industries.  Liz previously worked at MMA Financial and gained invaluable experience as an administrative assistant to several departments.
